Do one thing i hope this will resolve your problem.
Take Back up of My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, Favourites of Internet Explorer etc...

When u finish Click Start->Log Off->Log Off

You will be back on Login Screen. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del Two time Quickly..

A dialog Box will appear in front of u. Type Administrator in Login Field.. N its passsword in password field(if u don know leave it blank or ask the person who has installed Winxp on ur PC).

once u r in Windows again Right Click on My Computer than Properties (Shortcut Win Key + Pause) than go to Advanced Tab

You'll see User Profile there. Click on settings. Select ur login profile(select the login in which problem is coming) and delete it.

Press Ok. n Shutdown your PC...
Hope this will resolve ur problem completely.

Try these two settings-

Start->Run-> Msconfig

goto Startup Tab

uncheck -
ISUSPM
issch

Actually i not able to understand these items...

than shutdown ur PC

if still this problem comes again...Install Sonic again than uninstall it from Add-Remove Program...
