Pyrography is the art of decorating wood (or other materials) with controlled and focused burning. While this is usually performed with a poker or an electric etcher – Filipino artist Jordan Mang-osan uses the power of the sun to produce his intricate works of art. By focusing the sun’s rays with a magnifying glass, Jordan etches historical and cultural images of his people, the Igorot.
