Who wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She was confident of her singing, And barely ever lied. I once knew a girl, Who didn't doubt who she was. She would help a friend in need, Without a second thought. I once knew a girl, Who was beautiful in every way. She shone like the sun, And she smiled every day. I once knew a girl, Who only lived in the now. She could truly be happy, I still wonder how. I once knew a girl, Who was young and innocent. She wanted to help others, So that's how her time was spent. I once knew a girl, A girl who knew no limits. And she never gave up, She refused to be finished. I once knew a girl, Who appreciated life. She lived every day in full, And barely ever came inside. And I once knew a girl, A girl that was me. And looking back know, That's really hard to believe. I once knew a girl, Who was simply that. A girl. And her thoughts really mattered. I know she could have changed the world. |
