The world never falls short of interesting phenomena, so we decided to bring you some really intriguing ones. You know, the sort that one can only experience once a year? Time to make another travel diary.

1. Manhattanhenge, New York City



The sun is aligned between the east and west streets of the main grid of Manhattan, New York City, only once a year.

2. The migration of Olive Ridley Turtles, Odisha



This is one of the most breathtaking mass migrations in the world, and takes place on the Gahirmatha beach in Odisha every year. Thousands of turtles migrate for mating and nesting.

3. Red crab migration, Australia



This happens on the Christmas Island, an Australian island in the Indian ocean. Millions of crabs make their way from the forest to the ocean and lay eggs there.

This is one of the seven new wonders of the world, and is the largest animal migration movement in the world. About two million animals migrate from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the greener pastures of Masai Mara in Kenya.

6. Summer solstice at Giza Pyramids, Egypt



During the summer solstice, the sun sets perfectly between the two Great Pyramids of Egypt. The sun's descent between the two pyramids appears to be a divine creation.
