Canada Leads the Way in Firefox Usage
_________________________________

Canada is leading the way in Firefox internet usage, with 16% of internet users using the popular open source programme. The figures, provided by OneStat show the gradual market increase that Firefox is gaining, with IE accounting for 77.41% in Canada. While Firefox?s popularity grows in Canada and the US it is struggling elsewhere, which brings the global market share of the browser down to just 11.79%, where in the US the share is 12.81%.

While usage of Firefox is not as widely used as it is in Canada and the US, its share is continuing to grow, while IE usage falls slowly. Between January and May the browser share fell 0.65%, to 85.17% worldwide. Apple?s Safari browser has also grown in its market share as Apple?s Mac hardware continues to grow in popularity.
