Dr Kiran Bedi is truly an icon of heroism in India. She was the first Indian woman to join the Indian Police Services. She was born on June 9, 1949 at Amritsar in Punjab.
Kiran Bedi, a small woman with a huge mission, has been compared to Mother Theresa and Mahatma Gandhi. She is, in fact, a police woman-- and a reformer.
