Yummy mint flavored rolls Makes 8 servings (http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l336/glamgalz/funfani/imgs/recipes/mushroomrollip1.jpg) INGREDIENTS: 4 boiled potatoes2 slice of bread crumbled1/2 tsp garam masala1/2 tsp red chilli powderSalt to tasteOil for deep frying4-5 EggsFor filling150 gms Mushrooms1/4 cup Mint leaves (chopped)1 large onionsalt and pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: Boil potatoes. Grate them. Add breadcrumbs, garam masala, red chili powder and salt to taste. Keep aside Heat butter in a pan. Add onions and cook till they turn translucent Add chopped mushrooms. Saute for 4-5 minutes Add mint, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and remove from heat Divide the potato mixture into 8 balls. Flatten each potato ball and stuff it with the mushroom mixture. Lift the sides and seal the mixture and shape it into a oblong roll. Beat egg whites and keep in a bowl. Dip the rolls into the egg whites followed by breadcrumbs and coat evenly. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them into golden brown. Serve with tomato ketchup or Mint chutney. |
