Drifting away like a kite, my mind wavered through,
Thoughts of the past-I had golden memories of my childhood:
Darling of all, love was showered on me; care taken in each step
Lucky indeed was I-for the era continued inspite of my growth.
Tough and quarrelsome I grew-but love was rooted deep in me,
Never did anyone realize; not even my most beloved ones.
Now the sweet memories remain-a precious possession,
I dive to those thoughts more often;for they keep me lively and
Cheerful, though I shall never ever gain them.
Deserted am I by everyone today; darkness surrounds me.
Silence engulfing, speech forgotten and left alone;
Ray of hope and sunshine next to me-but
Far reachable, a mirage. Still I'm swimming hard to that
Source in the hope of attaining-my lost golden age.
