I got a friend, by divine fate,

The heights of love, and tears of joy
The silly moments, and chilly evenings
Behind the groves and beneath the trees
Alone she cared to share
With twinkle that never fades.

As a whirl she came,
As a whirl she departed,
A stormy evening ended our game,
And hurried her way into the unkind grave.

Days may roll, and years may pass,
In shattered dreams and doomed hopes,
When darkness challenges and moon fades,
She peeps through the twilight,
Re-kindling my delight.
