Title: Re: re: startup prob Post by: coolchandu on April 23, 2006, 08:04:48 AM sorry for the trouble mate.
i am afraid, my problem is not fixed yet. i hv downloaded startup manager from simplisoft.com as u said. when i hv run it i was still not able to locate the file with 'sonic' in it. i would attach a screenshot of the simplisoft result. (http://upload3.postimage.org/158537/simplisoft_1.jpg) (http://upload3.postimage.org/158537/photo_hosting.html) also, i use mcafee as my antivirus. Title: re: Post by: Vatsal on April 23, 2006, 08:15:40 AM try scanning ur system using avast antivirus, its the best antivirus available these days. get the free home edition version from http://www.avast.com , uninstall mcafee before using avast.
Title: Re: re: Post by: coolchandu on April 23, 2006, 02:18:48 PM well...tried that too. did not work.
:( Title: re Post by: Vatsal on April 25, 2006, 02:33:24 AM Just try and search any program related to sonic in the startup section of msconfig and uncheck it. Also, send me all the screenshots of the startup section and I'll try to search the problematic software on the startup section of msconfig.
Also try and find anything related to sonic in the registry section and delete it. To go to the registry section press Winkey+R and type regedit. Press F3 and type sonic and press Enter. Whenever you find any entry related to it, press the delete key. Title: re Post by: Vatsal on April 26, 2006, 10:39:12 PM msconfig seems to be fine...
Try searching something here... Start Menu -> All Programs -> Start Up Try finding Sonic Here...if u find here delete it... |
