In Windows XP, shortcuts are a great thing. One thing that is kind of irritating is that every shortcut has that little arrow plastered on the icon (so you can tell it?s a shortcut). If you would like to remove the shortcut arrows from your desktop icons, follow this guide: START - RUN - REGEDIT - HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT - lnkfile - On the Right Hand Side Locate the IsShortcut key, then right click on it and select delete Reboot your computer. Remeber you may comfortable delete a short cut without affecting the real file. You can be very confused doing this if your shortcut icon is identical to that of your real file.
