Sonam Kapoor, who plays the lead role of Neerja Bhanot in the film Neerja is receiving acclaim from across the film industry for her performance. The makers have released a three-part video of the making of the film, revealing what went into recreating this story of courage on screen.
In one of the videos, Sonam Kapoor talks about her first meeting with Neerja's mother, Rama Bhanot. Sonam recollects Neerja's mother telling her how the actress reminded her of her own daughter. Producer Atul Kasbekar also says that just like any mother, she ended up saying how "her laado was prettier!".
Remembering how humbled she was after meeting Neerja's mom, Sonam said,"When I first met her, I was touched when Rama aunty told me that I remind her of Neerja. It was so humbling for me that I decided that if I am doing this film, I can't let this lady down."
