Artist Maude White is capable of crafting beautiful illustrations from single pieces of paper. The most amazing part is that they are not cut using a laser or any other type of machine, they are actually cut by hand.

Using negative space the artist creates magical scenes with thin strands of paper that depict anything from fairytale scenes to animals such as eagles and elephants. The artist writes in her statement “With paper cutting there are so many opportunities to create negative space that tells its own story. Letting the observer become present in the piece allows him or her to look through it.”
